About Nakajima Group

The Quantum Electronics Laboratory (Nakajima Group) is a young laboratory established in 2020. The three main themes of the group are "optical frequency comb," "laser development," and "optical applied measurement.

Optical frequency comb" is a high-precision laser technology called the optical frequency meter, and we are engaged in research on optical frequency comb, innovative "laser" light source technology for generating optical frequency comb, and new "optical applied measurement" technology. In particular, our laboratory specializes in the development of application-specific optical comb light sources and conducts world-class research.

Features of Quantum Electronics Laboratory (Nakajima Group)

In the Quantum Electronics Laboratory (Nakajima Group), research is basically divided into individual themes. In addition, joint research with other universities such as the University of Tokushima, Yokohama National University, the Nihon University, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), and private companies is also actively conducted.

Examples of individual themes

 Research on mode-locked fiber lasers

Research on optical comb light sources

 Research on dual comb spectroscopy

 Research on terahertz wave

Research on optical comb for exoplanet search

In the Quantum Electronics Laboratory (Nakajima Group), we encourage "hands-on" and "active interaction with members" for mutual growth and research development. We have a climate and atmosphere that makes it easy to talk to each other for this purpose. In addition, our laboratory actively provides students who work hard on their research with opportunities to present their research at academic conferences. Conferences are held all over Japan, from Hokkaido in the north to Kyushu in the south (and sometimes even overseas), and our laboratory actively participates in these conferences and presents our research. If you are a student who works hard on your research, you will have opportunities to present your research at conferences even in your fourth year. We encourage you to try to conquer the whole country of Japan while presenting your research. If you are interested in our laboratory, please come visit us.
